And he does offer upsells as well. This is my first Red Flag. Anytime I see products with upsells, I get cautious about the product.
If a product is good, then you should only have to pay for it one time. Upsells are making money for the creator of the product over and over again. Yes, it is a very lucrative way to make money, and it is a whole business today.
Some people create products over and over again, month after month. And this creates a steady income, but I don’t like to see that. That is my honest opinion.

When a platform has many upsells, it gets me running the other way, fast! I don’t like upsells, Although upsells are perfectly legit I find it deceiving to offer something for a low price and then bombard the customer with upsell after upsell which leads to him/her spending 100s of dollars.

The upsells push me away from this program since it only shows that the front-end product is not complete. People must purchase a quality program or platform with all tools and features, such as Wealthy Affiliate. Using a low-cost front end lure people inside and sell them more expensive upsells is legal but unethical. And we haven’t talked about the extra tools you might need to build your online business. I think the cons outweigh the pros, and I will skip the 7 Figure Launch System at the moment.

And I certainly agree with you on the point that, if a product is that great, it shouldn’t need a bunch of upsells. I agree that this is just an unfortunate way people squeeze as much money out of their potential customers as possible.
While $9.95 is a very low start price, it’s certainly misleading as it appears you need to purchase upsell after upsell (and spending a ton of money in the process) before you get anywhere. And if people don’t have that initial capital to invest, it makes it very difficult.
