 Clickbank is a global digital marketing retailer for selling products online.They were founded in 1998 in San Diego, California. They have 347 employees and are ranked 1st in revenue compared to their top ten competitors. In user satisfaction, Shareasale ranked 100% while clickbank earned 98%. Clickbank was by far the biggest revenue generator at 202 million generated in 2019, while Shareasale took in 10.3 million. 

 Clickbank has over 2 million clients in 190 countries around the world. It is a subsidiary of Keynetics Inc. Clickbank was named top affiliate network in the United States in 2010 by Revenue Performance magazine. In 2016 was recognized as a top 100 internet retailer by Internet Retailer magazine. 

So, how does the Clickbank marketing system work? It is an affiliate network, that lists products from other merchants that can be bought directly by the public. It also allows affiliate marketers to select and promote the products, which can be bought on their websites. Then, if they generate a sale from their promotions, they get a commission for the sale. Commissions can vary from one dollar to tens of thousands of dollars, based on the cost of the products. Currently Clickbank has 21,562 products listed in 276 categories and  6 million entrepreneurs on the platform.

Clickbanks Featured Products

These featured products are not created by Clickbank. These products are created and promoted by other websites. Then, the products are listed on the Clickbank marketplace. They are available to the public for purchase, and affiliate marketers to promote. However, the problem is that many products are really scammy. It’s hard to figure out how some of these products pass the Clickbank requirements for selling on their platform.

Almost every product, uses very graphic images and videos that seem to go on forever! These cause people to get upset and leave nasty comments on the sellers website. It is the product creators actually doing this, not Clickbank. But, some of these videos violate facebook standards and they won’t permit it’s use in any promotional ads on their platform.

Why do the product creators do this? Because it sells! If it sells the product, when they do it, they will continue to do it. So, clickbank is unfortunately labeled a scam. Consequently, Clickbank is letting them get away with it, for the very same reason, it sells.

Yes, there are bad products on Clickbank. But, there are also some good products on Clickbank that do very well for affiliate marketers. You have to do your own due diligence, by doing the research and checking out the products yourself.

I recommend buying the product and checking the quality first before you promote it on your site. It is better to find out about the product before you try to promote it to your readers.

The Clickbank Marketplace is where the products are listed for sale. They are grouped into categories, and also broken down further into subcategories. This makes it easier to find products for each specific need.

All these categories above also have subcategory dropdown menus that give more specific choices. So, the product selection is quite extensive, as long as you choose wisely to avoid the worthless products. If you put poor products on your website, you will lose your customers, fast.

Clickbank has an awesome video guide on how to use the marketplace that describes all the useful features you have once you sign in. With over 21,000 products, there is a lot to choose from. Again, choose carefully, because the product quality can vary a lot.

To do this you can use the Marketplace search filters to specify exactly what you are looking for.

Once you understand how to select and rate the products using the Clickbank search and tools like “Gravity” you will be able to narrow your search. Eventually, you weed out the products that are poor sellers and a waste of time. And that is important! You want the products that are selling! Of course, that is no guarantee of success, but it does help a lot!

Clickbank provides vendors with tools to help their affiliates learn about their products. They include images,keywords, reviews and testimonials. Product guides and FAQ pages are also offered to help attract affiliates.

Clickbank Has Another Upsell – Training That Costs An Additional $97!!!

ClickBank claims you can make money “TODAY”, the same day you sign up for CBU, But that is not true. In fact that is almost impossible to do. It is an 8 week course and your first lesson doesn’t tell you how to even promote the product! And you are told to go slow, take the course one week at a time. So, you would have to have prior marketing experience to know how to do that.

Or you could read ahead and do all the lessons you need quickly to get a product online and promoted. Well, It takes days for Search Engines like Google to even know you exist, so you won’t even be found on the first day for anyone to buy your product.

Clickbank is a global company producing revenue of 202 million in 2019, they are a legitimate company. None the less, some of their products are worthless, and people demand a lot of refunds. This is hard on affiliates, because they give up their commissions on refunds. 

Then, as a slap in the face for affiliates,, Clickbank closes accounts with too many refunds! Clickbank wants a lot of sales with few refunds, so affiliates must choose products carefully to avoid refunds. I don’t agree with Affiliates being blamed for too many refunds!

Clickbank Is Easy To Use

Clickbank is an easy to use platform for new affiliates, and experienced marketers alike, but they do have their issues. And their products are sometime very poor quality. If you decide to promote their products, look them over carefully, and only choose the best products.

That is important, because it is your reputation on the line. Once you start promoting junk products, you will lose customers.
